Groceries (Part 2)
What we call a Fruit Shop in Iran
One of these places is a shop we call a fruit shop:
People in Iran buy fruits, vegetables and groceries in ‘Miveh(h) Foruši’ literally meaning fruit seller where all kinds of fruits and vegetables can be bought.
These stores are usually lit with bright lights and mirrors are installed on the walls to double the amount of fruit stored inside.
Fruits, vegetables and other groceries are often sold in kilograms and the price tag on each product shows how much a kilogram of it costs.
In order to buy fruits, you put the desired quantity in free plastic bags and give it to the cashier. The cashier calculates the price of your fruit based on its weight and says how much you should pay.
