Elementary 1 Course
Who is the course for?
The course is designed for beginners interested in learning Persian. No prior knowledge of the Persian language is required.
What are the objectives?
This course aims to help Farsi learners communicate in simple situations such as greeting, asking for directions, price, time, date, and ordering a meal. The main grammar topics covered in Elementary One include sentence and noun phrase structure, verb conjugation and negation in the present tense, and simple questions.
What are the teaching methods and learning resources?
Over 10 years of teaching Farsi, we have developed our method based on observing students’ needs. The main coursebook for Elementary one is “Donyâ-ye Farsi”, created in 2022 by the FarsiMonde team.
A communicative approach is applied to teach Farsi to beginners focusing on two language skills: listening and speaking. During classes, students mostly engage in speaking exercises and pair works.
After finishing Elementary one, students can learn the Persian Alphabet by attending FarsiMonde’s “Reading and Writing” course.
Schedule & Registration
The course is held over 8 weeks, with 2 weekly classes for 90 minutes each. The first session is free, but full payment should be completed before the second session to continue the classes. No placement test is required for the Elementary one.

Persian Conversation, Pre-Intermediate Course
Who is the course for?
This course is aimed at pre-intermediate students with a general interest in Persian. Those with approximately 80 hours of tuition or holders of A2 in Farsi can participate in this course.
What are the objectives?
The course’s main goal is to develop further the existing listening and speaking skills to reach the B1 level. By the end of the course, students will be able to talk about various topics in daily life and familiar issues using a wider range of vocabulary.
What are the teaching methods and learning resources?
Over 10 years of teaching Persian enabled us to develop the best teaching methods to make learning enjoyable and interactive. The FarsiMonde Conversation online course is the best place to improve spoken Persian.
There is a theme for each week, including daily life, traveling, sports, health, habits, home, and neighborhood. On Mondays, students discuss a topic, learn related vocabulary, and practice grammar. On Thursdays, students review vocabulary, read a short text, or do an exercise. Word lists, texts, and exercises will be sent to students weekly.

Persian Conversation, Intermediate Course
Who is the course for?
This course is aimed at intermediate students with a general interest in Persian. Those with approximately 120 hours of tuition or holders of B1 in Farsi can participate in this course.
What are the objectives?
The most significant goal of this course is to develop existing speaking and listening skills further to achieve the equivalent B2 level on the CEFR by expanding vocabulary and improving students’ grammatical knowledge.
What are the teaching methods and learning resources?
Over 10 years of teaching Persian enabled us to develop the best teaching methods to make learning enjoyable and interactive. The FarsiMonde Conversation online course is the best place to improve spoken Persian.
There is a theme for each week, including personality, dreams and fears, immigration, environment and its issues, technology, and social problems. On Wednesdays, students review the vocabulary of the previous session, do some exercises, read a related text, or listen to a related podcast to discuss the topic further.

An Introduction to Persian Literature
Who is the course for?
This course is for the C1 level Farsi learners interested in learning more about Iranian culture, improving their Farsi, and expanding their vocabulary through reading Persian poetry and short stories.
What are the objectives?
The course aims to help students understand the expressions and metaphors in Persian poetry and short stories and improve their speaking ability by discussing their thoughts and views on poems and stories.
What are the teaching methods and learning resources?
In this class, some poems by Saadi, Hafiz, Rumi, Forugh Farrokhzad, and Sohrab Sepehri, and some short stories by Jalal Al-e Ahmad, Samad Behrangi, and Sadeq Hedayat are read and analyzed. The students will discuss their opinions and interpretations at the end of each session.

Reading & Writing in Farsi Course
Who is the course for?
The course is designed for those who have learned to speak Farsi but cannot read the Persian scripts.
What are the objectives?
This course aims to teach the Persian alphabet to those who can already speak the language and want to improve their reading skill. At the end of this course, students can read short simple texts and write simple words and sentences.
What are the teaching methods and learning resources?
In FarsiMonde, we teach the alphabet based on their frequency rather than the standard alphabetical order. Moreover, students learn to write a few words rather than learning each letter separately. We use FarsiMonde’s videos and exercises as complementary teaching materials.

Calligraphy Course
Who is the course for?
Anyone interested in art, meditation, and reading old Persian hand-written documents with an A2 level in Farsi or above can participate in this class.
What are the objectives?
Helping Farsi learners improve their handwriting and ability to read Nastaliq and Tahriri, the most famous hand-written Persian fonts, in an enjoyable atmosphere is the main objective of this course.
What are the teaching methods and learning resources?
In every session, the instructor explains the rules of Persian calligraphy, shows you how to write, and provides you with examples to copy. You have one week to practice and send your best copy to the instructor.

The course is held in 8 weeks, 1 weekly class for 90 minutes each. Being able to read and write in Farsi is a must to participate in this course. Therefore, if you are interested, please contact us before July 5th. The full payment should be completed before starting the class.
